All of our teachers must complete a criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting, and child abuse history report, and physical. See the below links to get the process started. Required Background and Physical checks

The Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) requires certain individuals to obtain clearances in order to be employed, be a resource parent (foster or adoptive), or be a volunteer with children. The purpose for requiring clearances is to provide employers and those selecting volunteers with information to use as a part of a larger decision-making process when determining whether to hire someone as an employee or select them as a volunteer.

Clearances are required for an employee or unpaid volunteer at a minimum of every 60 months from the date of the oldest clearance. Clearances may be required more frequently based on licensure or employer requirements.

Mandatory Online Training

Two online training courses must be completed by all new employees; you must also set up your professional development record on the PD registry.

    4. Create a new account or sign in to your existing account
    5. To complete training, click Required Health & Safety and scroll to Get Started with Center-based Care: Building Blocks for Quality (K6.2, C1. CDA6; 10 hours) This training is free! You can leave and come back to this course as many times as you need until it’s finished.
    6. Once you complete the course and take the quiz PLEASE print the certificate. You may print the certificate here at the center also.
  2. Mandated Reporting Training Complete the online course "rrca-1089: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse." Upon completion, print the certificate and submit it to the director.
